If you haven’t seen Avengers: Age of Ultron yet, I guarantee you’re missing out. With an all star cast and nonstop action, this flick is poised to become one of the year’s top movies. Of course, this means you can expect your children to be requesting Avengers-themed birthday celebrations soon. To help you start your party planning, I’ve rounded up a few of my personal favorite Avengers inspired ideas.
Lemon Lime Hulk Punch via Mom on Time Out: What better way to start an Avengers party than with a delicious superhero inspired drink?
Iron Man Pizza via Will Cook for Smiles: I’ve never met a kid who doesn’t like pizza and this Iron Man version is sure to please.
Thor’s Hammer Cupcakes via The Horrible Housewife: Adorable and easy to make even if you’re all thumbs in the kitchen, Thor’s hammer cupcakes are the perfect party dessert.
Captain America Shields via The Nerds Wife: Keep the kids busy and send them home with a cute party favor by creating adorable Captain America Frisbee shields.

We went to a party once where the hostess did very simple DIY felt capes! That was 2 years ago and ours still gets used!
Black Widow spider cookies! Just stick thin strings of black licorice (or pretzel sticks) into the filling of Oreo cookies, then stick M&M’s on the top with icing for eyes. 🙂
Well, my 12 year old daughter would suggest having Chris Evans show up in costume. Considering I frown on tweens dating adults, I’d vote for costume contest with lots of Nerf swords and a towering cake with one corner of the building demolished into stone blocks across a sheet cake base. Avenger figures on the cake could double as party favors. Shields and water balloons could lead to a grand battle of heroes versus villains.
How about having everyone come dressed as their favorite Avengers character? Wouldn’t that be a hoot?!
Hawkeye’s bos and Arrows could be made by curving a popsicle stick, and using Q-tips as arrows!!
The Thor cupcakes are the best thing. So adorable. For a party idea for Avengers I’d go something with those Hulk Hands. Maybe make paper targets that kids have to punch through to get a prize?
Best idea: Hulk smash piñatas!
Make your own Avengers cupcake toppers using Print Shop round labels and inserting your own pics. Just glue them together on a toothpick.
this would not only be good for a child’s birthday, but an adult too. My hubby collects comic books & would love these.
I love Iron Man, he is so clever! I think the pizza is awesome and would go over well. Thinking about having an Avengers Halloween party.
I think it’d be fun to play a party game in which every child has a mask on as their favorite character and then they run around the yard hitting various targets using balloons filled with paint. Wear ’em out for about 5-10 minutes before cake and ice cream!
Black widow cupcakes would be cool or the wooden toothpicks that look like arrows for Hawkeye fruit kabobs!
Love those Thor marshmallows!! I think it would be cute for all the kids to come dressed as their favorite Avenger. How about making a plaster casting of their fists?
Trace around the child on large party and have them color and/or decorate as their favorite character.
Get plain t-shirts and let each child “dress” it up with fabric markers.
Those cutouts would be perfect for the Avengers wedding reception we’re going to be doing! We’re having each of our groomsmen have the theme of their favorite Marvel character and the bridesmaids will have similar colors to the guy walking them down the aisle. We’ve asked our guests to help us “save the date” and “assemble”. 🙂
Use bracelet glow-sticks to make Iron Man t-shirts!
Face painting for this themed party, and themed goodie bags for the guests!
